SY Frida
One hot summer day in 2015, we have received and inquiry from Rhodes. It was a Taiwan ketch Formosa 51 in need of a new teak deck. After our response, the owners have sailed in to Marmaris bay and we met on the deck of beautiful Frida. The owners were Alois Dietsche & Corinne Appius, a lovely couple from Switzerland who have settled in Paros for their life time dream after the refit. During the refit period we have set up very friendly relationship and we got used to starting the work shift with Alois greeting us “Adamlarım, ne güzel bir gün” (My men, what a beautiful day). And each and every day of the refit was beautiful.
The beautiful Frida had the teak deck it deserved and we had serviced many other items. [1] [2] [3]
A new propeller was manufactured. [4]
Barrier coat treatment was applied to the underwater ship.
PRM gearbox was serviced.
ROPE STRIPPER was installed on the shaft. [5-6]
We still carry on with the pleasant contact with our friends.
