MV Mare N
MV Mare N and Dick Boon has been with Port yacht since the day the company was founded and has been the most respectable person for us. The company has started its life with the big refit done on Mare N in 2011. It was always very important for us to justify Mr. Boon’s confidence in Port Yacht. Magnus Master stabilizer system manufactured by DMS Holland was installed to Mare N in 2018 Winter by Port Yacht. Before the installation there was a preparation period. Dick Boon has clearly stated that he prefers Port Yacht to be responsible for the necessary modifications on the boat prior to the installation. The drawings for the supporting structures were send by Vripack.
Appropriate type of sand blasted and primed plates were laser cut according to the CAD files. [1]
The supporting structures were temporarily spot welded on the boat for the final check. [2]
After receiving hull tubes the structures were permanently welded to the hull. [3] [4] [5] [6]
After finishing with the hot works, the new installed steel elements were primed and painted. [7] [8]
The electric cables according to the specs were laid and electric circuits were installed. [9]
After the preparation was finished, mechanical parts of the stabilizers have arrived and they were installed in place by Port Yacht with the supervision of Rens van Hal from DMS Holland. [10]
All necessary cable connections were done with utmost care and the system was tested on the hard for basic functions.
The filler layer and hull paint was repaired and outer parts of the rotors were painted with appropriate primers and paint. [11] [12] [13]
Following the launch of the boat, Patrick Noor and Rens van Hal from DMS Holland joined us on board with Dick Boon and the system was successfully commissioned and tested.
